Tournament Rules / Information Sheet July18, 2010

Do not post your score. Your score will be posted by the Tournament Chairman

The ball will be played down.

The only exception will be if your ball is resting on a dry dirt patch. You will then be allowed to lift, Clean and Drop to the nearest point no closer to the hole. Patches of dry grass or a divot do not qualify for relief.

Fallen trees, limbs, branches(even if still attached to the trunk), structured piles of debris, etc. that you are not able to move will be deemed “Debris to be eventually removed by the course”.  You will be allowed lift, clean and drop to the nearest point of relief for stance, swing and line of site.

Ground under repair not defined or if your ball is located or deemed lost in an area were repairs to water lines is taking place, you are allowed a free drop from the nearest point of relief no closer to the hole provided your entire group agrees to the situation.

Should there be damage on the green and your putt or chip would roll through it, you are allowed relief (place it if originally on the green drop it if off originally off the green) no closer to the hole. If you were off the green your relief must result in play from off the green. Relief does not apply if you are off the green and your intended shot would travel over and land clear of the damaged area.

All other situations as defined under the 2010 USGA rules of golf or as defined in the WPMC Local rules.

rules to assure you meet all the criteria.

Special Note #1     :     Flight cutoffs are determined by players index not course handicap.

Special Note #2     :     Tournament index/handicap may change based upon the NCGA Mid Month

Special Note regarding the Away Tournament entry

The date for the Away tournament is Sunday August 8 at Mare Island. As you know the deadline was Friday July 16. For those who still would like to play, I will accept late entries with payment at Sunday’s tournament. I have close out Sunday as I have to notify the course of the final player count and present them with the final payment by the end of this coming week.
