1. Tournament Rules:

As defined in the 2008 USGA rules of golf,  Except as follows

1.1

You may Lift Clean and Place within 12 inches (length of the scorecard) anywhere except in a hazard or bunker.

You will not be allowed to move between cuts even if it’s within the 12 inches.

If your ball is in the rough you must place your ball in the rough.

If your ball is on the fringe you must place your ball on the fringe.

If you are behind a tree which is between you and the green you must place your ball so that the tree continues to be between you and the green.

 All other movement of the ball as allowed in the USGA or Local rules of golf

 

 

 

 

 

 

2.   Format:

Individual stroke play. Net score determining the winners

 

First round of the East Bay Regional Two-Man Qualifier(all who try play the Blue)

3.   Tee Box:

Group “A” will play from the Blue NCGA Disk (Blue Ball Markers on the 9th)

Group “B” will play from the White NCGA Disk

Group “C” will play from the White Balls
Group “D” will play from the Red NCGA Disk

4. Flights/Awards:

Flights:  4               Places awarded in each flight:      6     (subject to change)

Long Drive Hole:

No long Drive competition will be held

Closes to the Pin Holes:

Hole #3: All Players
Hole #5: All Players

First Round of the 2008 2 Man Sectional Qualifier

These are the Official Rules and Regulations for the qualifier and supersede all other documents

 

1. Both members of the team must play from the BLUE NCGA Disk.


2. No additional fees collected.


3. Your team must participate in both rounds with the second round to be held during the April 20 tournament.


4. Winners will play in a sectional qualifier on August 21 on one of 12 designated courses. The qualifying team will be allowed to choose a first, second and a third choice but there are no guaranties.

 

5. The qualifiers from that competition will play in the championship round tentatively September 22-23.

 

6. Please be aware that the dates and location are tentative and subject to change.


7. One two man team will represent the club. You are to form your own twosome but must declare prior to either player starting the round. You do not have to play in the same group as your partner. Low net team is the qualifier.


8. All players trying to qualify will play at 90% of course handicap• Maximum index will be 18.4. If your index is higher, you can still try and qualify but your index will be lowered to 18.4.


9. A sign up sheet will be located on the first tee. If you do not indicate your team on the sheet you will not be considered participating in the qualifying event regardless of what you may have already indicated verbally, via EMAIL or on your entry form. This is to eliminate any misunderstandings or miscommunications.
